About the Producer : Te Mata Estate has five vineyards totaling 15 hectares on the free draining soils of the Havelock Hills north-facing slopes. Te Mata Estate’s wines are from some of the oldest vineyards in New Zealand. First planted in the 1890s, this area produces wines with balance, power and elegance.
Winery Tasting Notes; "Bright burgundy with a purple edge, Estate Vineyards Pinot Noir ’19 has an immediate aroma of ripe strawberry, raspberry, lavender and nutmeg. Hints of vanilla and smoke float across a palate that’s dominated by soft red fruit and silky fine tannins. A recent addition to the Te Mata family, this is a beguiling wine. Ripe and mouth filling, Estate Vineyards Pinot Noir ’19 has oodles of gorgeous appeal while also overdelivering complexity and finesse."
